Deborah,

Welcome! I am excited to have you joining me as well. Sorry you have to buy the book again. For me, books seem to come in and out of my life as I need them. It has to a God thing. I think God places books in our pathway when we are ready. If we aren't, sometimes they sit on the shelf. You don't have much to catch up on. Read the Introduction and Chapter One. I will write about Chapter One on Wednesday, May 5.

I had this book and in a moment of stupidity, gave it away thinking I would never take the time to go through it. Now I'm going to have to buy it again LOL :-) I have a problem with this; it seems to be a bad pattern. I buy books, get rid of them out of guilt, then realize I should have kept them, and buy them back...Lord help me!
I am very, very excited to see this study on your website!!! I love that the book is written for Christians! I think it was 9 years ago when I first bought the book, so it's time to really get serious and go through it. Thanks for this - I hope to be joining you soon!

Janice,
Thank you so much for spreading the word about the study of your book. I pray the study will be beneficial to those that participate. Too much LIFE does get in the way for many of us. There is pressure in our society to "do it all" and "do it well". I am sooooo glad God is always there with us!

Dear Terry,
It's so exciting to see you starting this conversation about The Creative Call. I'll put a notice about it on my Facebook page and see if anyone else joins in the discussion.

I can honestly say that after being in print for nine years, I still need to go back and work through the book myself when I hit a dry place or find there's just too much LIFE getting in the way of the work I'm called to do as a writer. Thanks for reminding me that I don't have to "eat the elephant" in one sitting. All I have to do is the next thing that needs doing. Hard to believe that I still have to be reminded to be still and know that God is God and I'm not.

Fondly,
Janice
