Hi Megan:
Yes, "The Creative Call" can be a boost to anyone wanting to increase their creativity. It is amazing how each person works through the book and pulls out what is important to them at the time. I love writing in my journal as well. I usually end up writing prayers to God asking for his guidance. I know He listens to all our requests and sends answers that apply to our own unique situation. I hope you and the others enjoy reading Janice Elsheimer's book.

Hi Terry,
Have just stumbled upon your blog. I have started the Creative Call book, with a group of five ladies. We are only up to chapter 2, and I am loving it! I'm loving the daily journalling (most days), and love to write my journals as letters to God, and then a letter back from Him to me :-) First thing in the morning is a really special time, but I don't always achieve that :-) I'm excited to see the diversity in what each of us in our group will get out of doing the course, and know that it's going to be unique to all of us.

I have read The Creative Call and done the exercises both in groups and individually. Soon after going through it, I began to paint, and have found great pleasure in developing my confidence as an artist. I also have developed more as a writer. I am not as grounded in the Biblical beliefs as Janice is, but that is not a barrier to enjoying and benefiting from reading the book and doing the exercises either alone or with a group. I think this is very interesting for you to develop an online group to discuss the book. Now that school is ending for the summer, as a teacher I will have more time to reconnect with my own creative call. I will check back in with you as I do.

Hi Becky:

How wonderful it must have been for your sister to be in that first class. It sounds like you and your sister truly used Janice's message to find the creative path God had planned for you. I would love to hear more of your story.

My sister was in Janice's original class in Orlando as the book was evolving. I saw her bloom as a creative person and soon started my own journey through this amazing book. Since then, I've become a speaker, guest columnist for our newspaper and internet entreprenuer. It's more than just a book.
